The exquisite diamond necklace featured in the picture, and on the book cover,  was borrowed from Joe's Jewelry International, Philipsburg, St. Maarten.   During November 1998, I made a trip to St. Maarten and visited several jewelry stores along Front Street.   Joe's warmth and friendliness outshone their competition a thousand fold.   We chatted about diamonds, mountings and The Captain's Fund.   They offered to drape me in diamonds if I wanted to return and shoot the book cover.   All I could think of was the beautiful Ms. Monroe singing "Diamonds are a girl's best friend..." and so I said  YES.
